The NRL Mark III Interferometer, as the name suggests, is a third-generation facility for optical interferometry. Over the course of its operation by the Naval Research Lab (NRL), it has made great contributions to the study of stellar diameters, limb darkening, resolution of close binary stars, and stellar distances - in particular, Nova Cygni 1992.
The Tour continues to the 100 inch Telescope.
