October 14, 1996: We had a disk crash which caused "500" errors when running StarMap. We've got a temporary fix in place and things seem to be working again. We apologize for any inconvenience.
August 6, 1996: The ephemeris for comet Hale Bopp has been added. Right now it's located in Serpens Cauda and should be visible in binoculars.
July 14,1996: The look of the StarMap Home Page has changed considerably, in step with the other changes on this server! The new page should be easier for many people to understand, and comes with improved explanations of terms, and links to auxillary services that should be helpful to people using it for the first time.
