The Sciences section of the Mount Wilson Observatory WWW Archive contains links to eight exhibits, each of which corresponds to long-term scientific programs located onsite. For FRAMES-capable browsers, a control panel is created at the bottom of the viewer. For non-FRAMES-capable browsers, this control panel appears at the bottom of each primary page.

The control panel has three different types of functions. Buttons surrounded in royal blue link to pages for each of the long-term scientific projects at Mount Wilson. Many of these link connect to other WWW archives, usually at the home institution of those projects. The red-bordered button links to the Science Menu page. For each of these buttons, a green ``Virtual LED'' shows which section was most recently accessed.
The cyan-bordered buttons are ``meta-buttons'' with the following uses:
the dome button points to the Mount Wilson Observatory Home Page.
the magnifying glass points to a search facility for the whole
Mount Wilson WWW archive.
the question mark points to this help page.
By using a FRAMES-capable browser, it is very easy to move about the Sciences archive, even though many of the presentations are off-site. The meta buttons and the Science Menu Page button will always return you to the proper place.
