The Education section of the archive is divided up into several
sections:
- The Historical Archive
contains images and articles
relating to Mount Wilson Observatory's development,
history, and accomplishments. It also has a series of
biographies of people whose accomplishments are a part
of the Observatory's history.
- There are several presentations
which give additional background to the scientific projects
underway at the Observatory. New educational materials,
including interactive exhibits geared towards K-12 students
are under development.
- One of these exhibits is the
Constellation Quiz which shows
star fields to test your ability to recognize some of the
more popular constellations.
- Finally, the Telescopes in Education
Program gives schools the opportunity to use the Observatory
24" telescope remotely from the classroom.
On the Education home page, there are three buttons which give
